Presenting Team Findings 

Ways to present what you have learned:

           An important part of the learning process is demonstrating what your team learned.  Listed below is a variety of ways to do this.  Each team member is allowed to choose a method that he/she feels most comfortable with using.  Please view the choices listed below to see if you would like to use one of these ideas.

Oral presentation pointers:

bullet Clearly think about the facts you want to present.
bullet Decide the order of the facts you are presenting.
bullet Record your ideas on note cards, numbering the cards in sequential order.
bullet Practice your presentation several times so that you do not have to rely on your note cards that often.
bullet Speak outward to the audience in a clear voice that is loud enough to be heard by all.
bulletMake eye contact with the audience several times throughout the presentation.

 Preparing your portfolio: 

        Now you are ready to think about all of the activities you completed both individually and with your team members as you learned about bats.  It is important to include most of the items you created in you portfolio.  Please refer to the pointers below to help you organize and complete your portfolio. 

bulletMake sure all your work is complete and correct.
bulletMake sure all your work is easy to read.
bulletMake sure all your work is categorize according to the following groups:

        1.  Internet section

        2.  Resource section of facts from encyclopedias, books, magazines, etc.

        3.  Personal favorites section that includes the activities you enjoyed most

        4.  Charts, graphs, puzzles, etc.

        5.  Photographs of dioramas, murals, quilts, and other large items
