Learning Challenge:

Imagine that the residents of your county are unhappy with the present course of modern culture.  They have decided to secede from the state and develop their own governing body based on the feudal system.  Your class will be transported back to the medieval period in history and students will live as a serf, merchant, royal courtier, or other member of a feudal society.  Based on your experiences, choose whether to live in a feudal or democratic society.
