You are asked to be a member of the newly formed council of Midwestern States.  The job of this council is to generate new growth in industry and population, while at the same time protecting valuable farmland.  Investigate this area of the United States, known as the "breadbasket" of the world, focusing on tourism, farming, industry, population, natural resources, and the historical significance of this region.
