Listening Center  

The students will visit a website about author Tana Hoban and read a short biography about her work.

The listening center will be available as a center for up to 4 students.

The students will be listening to the story I Read Signs, by Tana Hoban. This is a wordless book but each page has road signs with text. The teacher will need to record her own voice reading the signs on each page and supply a "beep" to let the children know when to turn the page.

Directions

The students will be listening to the book on tape and be instructed to turn pages when they hear a beep. There will be a green sticker on the play button and a red sticker on the stop button.
