Memory Matching Game

Students will visit a road sign website: to become more familiar with the signs. The teacher will need to help with navigation.

The teacher will make two copies of the road sign clip art. (IA-4)for each student. Each of the 12 signs will be colored by the students will teacher supervision and glued to index cards.

The object of the game is for the student to make matches by turning over two cards at a time. The cards will be placed picture side down on a table. If the chosen cards match, he keeps them and play continues to the next player. If the cards do not match he turns them back over and play continues to the next player. The player with the most matches wins the game.

The students will take their own set of game cards home, along with a parent note, (IA-4a) so they can practice the signs.
